These Bags are modelled after Colostomy and Ileostomy Bags that are Closed, meaning they are used once and replaced with a fresh bag/pouch. Why a person may require or choose a Closed Ended Bag instead of an Open Ended Bag is based on a lot of factors.
 
 
An Ileostomy can be a Loop Ileostomy (where a loop of Small Intestine being pulled out through the abdomen) or an End Ileostomy (where the Ilium is separated from the Colon and brought through the abdomen) and both form a Stoma to allow digestive waste to leave the body. It can be needed for a lot of reasons, including relieving inflammation in the Colon caused by various conditions and aiding with Rectal surgeries.
 
 
A Colostomy involves a part of the large Bowel (Colon) being brought through the abdomen and also forms a Stoma to allow waste to leave the body. It can be needed for lots of reasons, including if part of the large Bowel, Anus or Rectum needs to be removed due to an underlying condition, infection or injury.
 
 
Each Disabled Dolly Closed Ended Ostomy Bag is made with hand-stitched felt fabric with a smooth, rounded shape.
 
 
The Bags are made with a vecro system for quick and easy attachment and removal with one hand. Each pack comes with one dot ready fitted on the back of the Ostomy Bag, and a transparent velcro dot that you stick to your doll's Abdomen so it will attach to your doll.
 
 
[We drew Stomas on our display dolls with red Acrylic marker pen and waited for it to dry before fitting the transparent dot - we love that you can see the Stoma underneath for an additional realistic touch!]
